MannTek is the leading man­u­fac­tur­er of easy-to-use, reliable LNG transfer systems and LNG bunker­ing systems in the world. We produce more than 2500 dif­fer­ent cou­plings and supply over 80 000 cou­plings per year. All com­po­nents are man­u­fac­tured, as­sem­bled and 100 % tested in our factory in Mari­es­tad, Sweden and every LNG transfer system are tested cryo­geni­cal­ly. Since 2013 we have produced 42 complete LNG Hose transfer systems that are in use. That means 35 000 LNG trans­fers of 3 million m³ LNG. We have a 100% safety record which includes SIL2 for our LNG solutions.

Advantages LNG

Nitrogen has a lower boiling point – which means no ad­di­tion­al heating or cir­cu­la­tion system is required when using LNG. We don’t use hy­draulics and there­fore no hy­draulic leaks during the LNG bunkering procedure. We monitor pressure right to point of ac­ti­va­tion. The LNG system is light­weight and compact and both the PERC and DCC can easily be lifted to the re­ceiv­ing LNG vessel. The PERC has a dual func­tion­al­i­ty – it is active on ESD2 and passive on ‘blackout’. The hose gives flex­i­bil­i­ty and re­spon­si­bil­i­ty after ESD2. Both Capex and Opex is sig­nif­i­cant­ly reduced due to the LNG transferring system.

New ISO standard

We’ve done the job. And once again, MannTek is first. After 1.5 years of constant work and 70 000 con­nec­tions and dis­con­nec­tions, we have fi­nalised all the tests for ISO 21593, the in­ter­na­tion­al standard that reg­u­lates the tech­ni­cal re­quire­ments of all LNG cou­plings. This means that our DCC cou­plings are safe for use in all possible con­di­tions and under any cir­cum­stances. Time saving, easy to handle, reliable – and com­pat­i­ble with all other man­u­fac­tur­ers that fulfill the ISO 21593.
