In July 2015 it was time for North America's and Canada's first LNG ferry, F.A Gauthier launched by STQ, the Société de traversiers du Québec. F.A Gauthier is the largest LNG-propelled-vessel in North America. Mann Tek has provided the dry cryogenic couplings for the bunkering operations for his project.

The trucks deliver the LNG to the FA Gauthier also runs on LNG.

- For this project our products, DCC and CBC, has been enabler for safe, quick and environmentally friendly LNG fuel transfers, says Mann Teks LNG project developer Mr Johan Lilliesköld.

"LNG is a concrete solution for fighting climate change and allows local ship-owners to comply with the increasingly stringent standards regarding polluting emissions on North America's waterways" Gaz Métro development and renewable energies VP Martin Imbleau said in a press realse.
Mr Lilliesköld has been involved in several LNG bunkerings operations prior attending the operation in Québec.
- Since the launch of the world's largest LNG-ferry Viking Grace in Sweden, our products in this segment has really been a success when the need for a fast and safe refuelling is sought after, as well as according to the ISO standard for marine LNG bunkering, says Mr. Lilliesköld.
The F.A Gauthier has a capacity of 800 passengers and 180 vehicles.
