Social media

We create online presences within social networks in order to communicate with the interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about us. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

User data may be processed by the operator of the social media portal (service provider) outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users’ rights.

In the following, we inform you about the processing of your personal data carried out by us in the context of the online presences provided by us. In its ruling of June 5, 2018, the ECJ confirmed the joint responsibility of the service provider and the site operator.

Our website contains links to social networks. The links are identified by the logos of the respective networks.

Only when these links are followed by clicking on them does the browser establish a connection with the servers of the service providers and redirect you to their social media portal.

We do not carry out any further data processing in addition to the basic functions of the site. Please note, however, that the service provider may use tracking tools and cookies independently of our use of the site and that data may be collected even if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal.

For a detailed description of the respective processing and the opt-out options, please refer to the information provided by the providers we use. In the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would also like to point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers.
