LNG solutions bunkering transfer system Avenir Accolade

Avenir Accolade

Avenir LNG, is a joint venture consisting of Stolt-Nielsen, Hoegh LNG and Golar LNG. Last year we designed and produced a custom-made LNG transfer system for Avenir Accolade and her sister ships. Henrik Thunborg is our Business Developer for LNG. He has a long, deep experience when it comes to LNG and customized solutions for different kind of requirements and operations where he gives advice and finds the right solution.  Due to the Covid pandemic we couldn’t participate in China, where the vessel was built, and therefor Henrik and two MannTek colleagues ended up traveling to Portland Bight, Jamacia where Avenir Accolade will operate under ship management from Golar LNG and operate for the LNG giant NFE.

The commissioning and first operation were carried out smooth as expected. The first LNG transfer was performed when Avenir Accolade loaded a cargo from Exmar’s Excalibur and the customer says:

“We love to work with MannTek and the good cooperation with the MannTek team is valuable for us. Without MannTeks expertise this commissioning wouldn’t have been possible.”

Golar LNG

The LNG transfer system supplied for Avenir Accolade is designed as a two-hose system of 8” size and is fully SIL2 compliant. The sister ship Avenir Advantage, earlier in operations is equipped with the same type of equipment from MannTek as well, read more about that case here.

“One of our main goals is to always be a reliable partner and lead the way for the customer, from offer to installation and of course constantly follow-up and evaluate our performance”, says Henrik Thunborg, Business Developer at MannTek LNG Solutions. With that background and target it’s a natural step to follow the customer and be present on site when required.
